Little Gems Blog Hop
Welcome to the Little Gems Blog Hop!
Little Gems is the most recent book by Connie Kauffman published by Martingale and just released this February. The book features 15 mini paper pieced quilts. Quilts measure 12" x 12" and can be made with a small amount of fabrics.
Island Batik is one of the sponsors of the Blog, and 8 of the Island Batik Ambassadors are taking part. Each Ambassador selected one project from the book Little Gems and has recreated it using Island Batik fabric. Be sure and check back each day to see the quilts made in new colorways with these beautiful batiks. Look for a special prize of a bundle of Island Batik fabrics!
Martingale is another one of our sponsors. They are giving away a free ebook at each Ambassadors
Blog. Be sure and go to each site to enter.
Ackfeld Manufacturer is our third sponsor for the Blog. They create the great wire stands for each "little gem" you see in the book. They are giving away a free stand - be sure to enter for that- all the "gems" look great displayed on the wire stands!
Our Blog Hop is 11 days of interesting projects, beautiful fabrics and great prizes. Be sure to visit a new site every day.

ReplyDeleteLove the quilts. They are beautiful
ReplyDeleteThe taupe quilt is stunning!
ReplyDeleteLove both quilts. I can't decide which version of Serenity I like better. I can't wait to sew these little quilts.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the Island Batiks are beautiful I think I like your original taupe version! I would just love to win a copy of this awesome book! Thanks for the chance :)

I really like the original quilt with taupe fabrics. The stone colours resonate for me! I find the colours in the new quilt a little dark for me. Perhaps it's just the photo.
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns (quilts) in your book and would love a chance to win!

I love the original version. I have scraps left over from my Japanese Taupes quilt and could make my own version. But I love the Island Batiks version. Ok, I want to make both. I so want this book.
ReplyDeleteYour new book is amazing. Love all of those little gems!
ReplyDeleteAdorable mini quilts and displayed so intriquing.
ReplyDeleteI like the original version of the quilt: taupe is serenely wintry. Your remake is good for Autumn. I think I would make a version for each season.
ReplyDeleteLove the little quilts. I have a shelf in the dining room that would be perfect for a little quilt in that stand.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I simply require this book! After decades of quilting, I've run out of room for all the quilts, but these minis are the perfect solution! Creativity and they don't take up too much room! Thanks for the brilliant solution to my storage problems!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little book! Love the quilt stand. It would be perfect for my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteYour post about the "Little Gems Blog Hop" is a delightful journey through creativity! The way you share your passion for design and showcase these little gems is truly inspiring.
